Peer learning session one: Reducing absenteeism

ADDRESSING ABSENTEEISM THROUGH PEER LEARNING

Peer learning is a powerful way of sharing knowledge within the industry. It involves individuals exchanging knowledge and experience with each other, with the outlook of diffusing this learning back to their organisations.

In February the CCTC hosted its first workshop in its “Peer learning series” focused on reducing absenteeism. Participants were encouraged to discuss the drivers and challenges of high absenteeism in the CTFL sector.

This highly interactive session, facilitated by two members of the CCTC team, helped participants share their experiences in addressing absenteeism at their firms. They worked together to build what they called a “dream absenteeism policy” to address both new and repeat absenteeism cases.
