Our Story
Who We Are
Established in 2005 by industry and public sector stakeholders, the Cape Clothing & Textiles Cluster (CCTC) is a vibrant community of change-makers, working to strengthen and grow the Western Cape’s clothing, textile, footwear and leather value chain.
A representative group of over 140 retailers, clothing, textile, footwear and leather manufacturers are supported through the programmes and projects of the CCTC.
We support domestic firms to access domestic and selected export markets by driving globally competitive, sustainable clothing and textile value chains. The CCTC aims to achieve this through supporting the development of World Class Manufacturing capabilities, optimised supply chains and advanced Quick Response capabilities, each of which are based on a clear set of market-led requirements and commercial business propositions.
Our Members
The CCTC is an inclusive cluster with members from across the value chain. Our membership ranges from large publicly listed retailers to large, medium and small clothing manufacturers, textile and trim manufacturers. Membership is voluntary, with all firms committed to our shared vision- building a vibrant, expanding, globally competitive Western Cape clothing, textiles, footwear and leather industry.
