World Class Manufacturing
Building global competitiveness in the Western Cape. Focus on lean, cost competitiveness and productivity & collective upgrading projects
Overview
We support members to implement productivity improvement projects directly in their work environment, drawing from global best practice in the CTFL value chain and cross-sectoral experience in the automotive, chemical and furniture sectors.
Meeting the price, quality, speed and reliability standards of the value chain requires high-commitment, productive employees.
Yet we are aware of the various challenges facing the local value chain – an ageing workforce, high absenteeism, limited multi-skilling and suboptimal productivity levels.
Our cluster members are invested in skills development, with the cluster enabling improvements through industry-relevant skills programmes focused on developing committed, problem-solvers and the next generation of leaders.
